Sutton Town Hall, Selectmen’s Meeting Room
Members in Attendance:
John Hebert, Chairman; Kevin Geraghty Clerk; Members Michael Chizy and Ryan Fattman
Also in Attendance: James Smith, Town Administrator; Debbie Jacques, Administrative Secretary
Chairman Hebert calls the meeting to order at 7:00 followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
No comments under Public Forum.
Selectman Fattman motions to approve June 2, 2009 minutes as presented, Selectman Chizy seconds, passes 4-0.
Board of Selectmen signatures on 61A property on Uxbridge Road: TA Smith briefs the BOS that this purchase was voted on at the Spring Town Meeting for $199,900.00. Attorney Barbara St. Andre will represent the Town of Sutton in the closing mid July. Selectmen Chizy motions to execute the purchase and sale agreement on 16 Uxbridge Road as presented and as authorized by Sutton Town meeting on May 11th, 2009, Selectman Geraghty seconds the motion all in favor passes 4-0.

Signing of bonds for recent issue sold on June 11th presented by Treasurer Cheryl Ouillette: Cheryl Ouillette informs the BOS that 2 firms bid on Suttons bonds. They were Fidelity Capital Market with a 3.13% interest rate and Eastern Bank with a 3.43% interest rate. Cheryl informs the board that these are very good rates for this market. Cheryl is requesting the BOS’ approval to award the bids. Selectman Fattman motions to sign the bonds sold on Thursday June 11th, 2009 as presented, to fund various capital items previously approved by Sutton Town Meeting, Selectman Chizy seconds the motion all in favor passes 4-0
Town Administrator Update:
- ELC Roof winning bidder is SOM out of Dudley with a bid of $727,707. there were 14 bidders on this
project. Goal is to complete prior to next school year.
- Town Hall Stair replacement: bids opened on June 11th, still in review process
- Manchaug library: RFP due July 8th, Review board to be formed.
- 6 Morse Road auction: winning bid $52,500.00
- Fire Truck bid specs being finalized
- 43D property owners meeting to be held at the Senior Center Wed. June 24th @ 7:00pm
- BOS Annual Goals & Objective meeting date to be determined.
- 11 Town BOS meeting at BVT on Thursday June 18th.
- Environmental Notification form received on Manchaug Reservoir Corp. & Interface (owners of the dam)

Selectman Chizy reads the list of needs for the Sutton Food Pantry
Round Table:
Selectman Geraghty asks TA Smith specifics regarding the Early Learning Center Roof. Kevin also takes this time to publicly acknowledge the magnitude of TA Smith and department heads not taking their raises for the next fiscal year. Kevin goes on to say that it is not just a one time hit for these individuals. Every year they will be at a lower salary due to this one time act.
Selectman Fattman questions the Employee Appreciation day that had been postponed for last Friday. TA Smith said there is something else in the works, an Employee golf day that would raise funds for the Sutton food Pantry.
Ryan also offers congratulations to the graduating class of 2009.
Hearing no further comments, Selectman Chizy motions to adjourn the meeting, Selectman Geraghty seconds all in favor 4-0
